Job Summary:

A Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescription medications to patients accurately, providing drug information, and ensuring safe and effective medication use. The Pharmacist collaborates with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and promotes health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
• Dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy regulations.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and storage.
• Provide advice and information to healthcare professionals regarding drug selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
• Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication therapies as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Manage inventory and order pharmaceutical supplies.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities.
