What you'll do at OhioMHAS : We are hiring for a Social Worker 1 (LSW) position within the social work department at Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare. Under general supervision, a Social Worker 1 performs as a member of the team developing and implementing treatment plans for patient care through discharge. The Job Opportunity and Duties: What you will do : Coordinates assessment, evaluation, and social service needs for patients and their individual service plan or treatment plan throughout their care cycle. Performs overall case management & crisis intervention. Develops client treatment plans & ensures compliance with applicable standards, agency policies & administrative regulations & institutional rules Monitors clients' progress in treatment; maintains clinical case records, documentation, and case files Refers clients to community programs and resources. Participates as part of treatment team (planning meetings, case presentation and discussions, and provides services in accordance with principles of a therapeutic community) Completes & maintains accurate and timely documentation and reports Maintains knowledge and adherence to compliance requirements for Joint Commission, OMHAS, and COBH. Attends staff meetings, trainings, and conferences as required Establishes and maintains working relationships with other facilities, agencies, and support services. Plans and implements continuity of care from hospital to community through collaboration. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday, mostly daytime hours with an occasional evening. This position is located within Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare at 2200 West Broad Street Columbus, Ohio 43223 . Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter. Qualifications Requires current license as social worker (i.e., LSW) as issued by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board in accordance with ORC 4757.28. Pursuant to ORC 4757.41 (A)(5) any person engaging in social work or professional counseling as a civil service employee as defined in section 124.01 of the Revised Code who has at least two years of service as of July 10, 2014 is exempt from current licensure as social worker (i.e. LSW) requirement.
