Job Summary:

The Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our technology infrastructure. This role involves continuous monitoring, threat response, compliance management, and system maintenance to protect against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparedness: Monitor and evaluate security systems, ensuring firewalls and other protective measures are effective. Research emerging threats and recommend security enhancements.
• Response: Lead incident response efforts in case of security breaches, viruses, or cyber threats, taking immediate corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Compliance: Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure adherence to CJIS, HIPAA, and PCI regulations, reporting concerns to IT leadership.
• Maintenance: Oversee user access permissions, removing unauthorized users as needed. Ensure software updates and patches are applied regularly.
• Continuing Education: Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends and best practices to enhance our overall security posture.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, and incident response.
• Familiarity with compliance standards (CJIS, HIPAA, PCI).
• Ability to analyze threats and implement proactive security measures.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
