N-able is seeking a new Manager of Data Engineering to come join us on our exciting journey of growth!

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a team of data engineers in the development and maintenance of key enterprise data solutions, including our enterprise Data Lakehouse.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of data solutions and feature delivery, adopting an Agile methodology for timely and efficient execution.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance to solve complex data engineering challenges, ensuring data is accessible, trustworthy, and easy to consume across the enterprise.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, prioritize feature requests, break down work into manageable tasks, and define clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration within an Agile environment, addressing dependencies across teams and ensuring timely resolution of issues to meet delivery goals.
  • Balance development of new features with ongoing maintenance and production support
  • Set clear team goals, performance metrics, and expectations, continuously monitoring performance and driving improvements to achieve team and company objectives.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience leading data engineering teams and delivering large-scale data solutions in a cloud-based environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL, Python, ETL, data modeling, APIs, cloud computing, and big data technologies.
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related roles with a focus on data & analytics.
  • Experience with software development practices including git, modularity, containerization, test driven development, CI/CD, unit testing.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience managing the end-to-end delivery of data projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, and driving technical excellence.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly around ensuring the availability, scalability, and quality of data solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, able to work closely with business and technical stakeholders to prioritize and manage expectations.
