POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Pastor/Director to lead our middle and high school ministry. The ideal candidate will have a heart for youth ministry and a desire to help students know, grow, and flourish in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Active, growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Valid Washington State driver's license
Must pass a nationwide background check
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience working with middle and high school students
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with youth and their families
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous youth ministry experience
Commitment to ongoing theological education
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement engaging youth ministry programs
Mentor and disciple students in their faith journey
Build relationships with parents and families
Collaborate with church leadership and volunteer teams
Create safe, inclusive environments for spiritual growth
Plan and lead youth events, activities, and mission opportunities
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Strong spiritual maturity and ability to provide guidance
Excellence in verbal and written communication
Creative approach to youth ministry and program development
Demonstrated emotional maturity and stability
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups
Team player with strong collaborative skills
Self-motivated with excellent organizational abilities

Demonstrates humility and teachability
Shows curiosity about youth and their families
Maintains high standards of integrity and ethical behavior
Exhibits reliability and strong work ethic
Shows adaptability and openness to new ideas
Actively engages with the community
Aligns with church values and doctrine
