If that sounds like you, bring your expertise to F.E. Moran Group of Companies ! We're looking for an experienced Safety Manager to join our team and help drive safety excellence across our construction projects in the Chicagoland area.

About the Role:

As the Safety Manager , you’ll oversee all aspects of safety on our construction sites. You'll ensure operations comply with federal, state, and company safety policies, protecting employees, subcontractors, and the public. Working closely with project managers, site supervisors, and senior leadership, you’ll lead initiatives that reinforce a culture of safety and help prevent incidents, injuries, and property damage.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Safety Initiatives
  • Champion our Health and Safety Program and Fleet Program. Ensure all practices align with OSHA standards and specific project needs.
  • Monitor Compliance
  • Enforce job site safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Incidents
  • Investigate and document incidents (injuries, property damage, vehicle accidents), conduct site visits when necessary, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain Records
  • Keep thorough documentation in line with OSHA, DOT, EPA, GI, insurance, and internal policies.
  • Report and Analyze
  • Prepare detailed incident reports, identify root causes, and provide strategic recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Build Relationships
  • Engage with project teams and employees to promote trust, transparency, and shared accountability for safety.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced : Prior construction safety experience is required—ideally in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Educated :
  • Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field preferred
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
  • CSP, CHST, or similar safety certifications preferred
  • OSHA 500/510 instructor certification a plus
  • Organized : Skilled in prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • A Strong Communicator : Able to address and resolve issues through clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Adaptable : Willing and able to travel to job sites as needed, including outside standard business hours or out of state.
