We are seeking a compassionate Board Eligible/Board Certified General Psychiatrist to join our inpatient Behavioral Health services team at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will manage a busy consult practice, focusing on complex medical conditions and psychiatric co-morbidities, while collaborating with medical staff for high-quality patient care. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified General Psychiatrist to join our Psychiatric Consultation Liaison team and meet the growing demands for inpatient Behavioral Health services on the south side of Indianapolis at Franciscan Physician Network Psychiatric Specialists . With the exception of Consult Liaison services, Franciscan Health Indianapolis does not have inpatient behavioral health services. Interested candidates will be joining a busy inpatient consult practice, must embrace the “team paradigm” and this center’s commitment to cultivating wellness and resiliency in the patients served.

WHAT WE NEED:

We are in need of a compassionate caregiver who is looking for a fast-paced and autonomous work environment. Ideal candidate will have a high degree of specialty with acute complex medical conditions requiring hospitalization and psychiatric co-morbidity. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Provider will need to work collaboratively with existing medical staff to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

1. Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
2. Flexible full-time schedule
3. Average inpatient volume: 15 - 18 patients per day
4. Weekday, Weekend & Holiday Call: 1:8
5. Common Diagnoses:
1. Bipolar Disorder
2. Depression
3. Anxiety
4. ADHD
5. Addictions
6. Schizophrenia
7. Delirium
8. Dementia with Behavioral Disturbance
9. Bariatric Evaluations
6. Experienced clinical support staff

Qualifications:

1. Doctorate - Required

• Physician License (MD/DO) - Upon Hire Required – and -
• Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required

1. Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Upon Hire Required
