Job Description

TEC Group is on the hunt for an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to oversee heavy highway construction projects from bid through completion. This role requires hands-on management of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project execution to ensure timely and profitable project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bids, and proposals for heavy highway construction projects.
• Manage all phases of project execution, including scheduling, subcontractor management, resource allocation, and quality control.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract terms to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to plan and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Monitor project progress, address issues proactively, and adjust plans as needed to ensure project goals are achieved.
• Conduct pre-construction meetings, regular site visits, and project closeouts.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, contract requirements, and company standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of project management and estimating experience in heavy highway construction.
• Strong knowledge of DOT standards, civil construction methods, and project management best practices.
• Proficiency in estimating and project management software.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
