Private Chef for Family

Starting Salary: $65,000 per year + Annual Bonus
Benefits: Life, Health, Disability, Dental, Vision and Hearing
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Lunch at 1:00 PM, Dinner at 6:00 PM)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Private Chef to provide exceptional culinary service for our family. We have had a private chef for over five years and are accustomed to fine dining-level cuisine prepared with premium, scratch-made ingredients.

Our home features a custom-designed kitchen built for professional chefs , equipped with top-of-the-line commercial appliances and all other necessities to create world-class meals.

The ideal candidate will have a fine dining background, a deep passion for sourcing the highest-quality ingredients, and a commitment to true, from-scratch cooking . You will be responsible for preparing lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday , as well as managing all grocery shopping for the household.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare lunch and dinner for our family of four (two adults, two young children – ages 5 & 3).
• Source and purchase premium ingredients from top-tier grocery stores, farmers’ markets, and local suppliers.
• Maintain a well-stocked, organized kitchen and pantry.
• Accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions.
• Create a varied, nutritious, and flavorful menu tailored to our tastes.
• Ensure meals are served promptly at 1:00 PM (lunch) and 6:00 PM (dinner) .
• Keep the kitchen clean and follow proper food safety protocols.
• All food must be made from scratch – no pre-made ingredients of any kind. This includes:
  • Hand-made pasta for all pasta dishes.
  • Freshly ground meats for burgers and other dishes.
  • Whole quarters of beef, dry-aged in-house for premium steaks.
  • Sauces, broths, and condiments made from scratch with fresh ingredients.

Requirements:

• Minimum Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, or Executive Chef experience in a highly-rated fine dining restaurant .
• Strong knowledge of ingredient sourcing and seasonal produce.
• Ability to cook both elevated cuisine and child-friendly meals .
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Discretion and professionalism in a private home setting.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing.
