We are partnering with LAZ Parking, one of the largest and fastest growing parking companies in the country, to hire motivated, responsible, independent individuals who can work as a part of a professional team and work environment.

As a Parking Enforcement Agent , you will lead with a Never Give Up attitude and provide operational support through upholding and enforcing the local parking ordinances while assisting customers with parking needs. The Parking Enforcement Agent will accurately key vehicle license plates utilizing a Hand-Held Ticket Issuance System to issue parking citations. Various full-time shifts are available.

  • $19.00 per hour
  • Paid Health & Welfare benefit - employer paid at $1,648.08/month
  • Paid Holidays - unworked paid at a straight time; worked paid at 1.5x (time and one half)

DAILY RESPONSIBILIITES

  • Monitor on-street parking meters for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route
  • Issue City/Municipality approved parking citations for vehicles in violation of ordinances in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Upload hand-held computer to obtain current information required for work on a daily basis
  • Screen for parking placards and permits for special privileges within approved areas
  • Resolve customer complaints in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain and care for all company issued equipment
  • Assist with any special assignments and projects as requested
  • Other related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE YOU BRING

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • A minimum of 6 months of Outdoor work experience
  • A minimum of 6 months of Customer Service experience
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task along with ability to show a sense of urgency and timeliness
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
  • General knowledge of streets and directions

HIRING SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • A valid State of Illinois drivers license is required
  • Successfully complete a fingerprint-bases criminal history record check (CHRC)
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records Background
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Must be a US citizen or a Permanent Resident

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

AVAILABLE SHIFTS: Full-time second shifts, including weekends
