Archetype Entertainment is a new game studio in Austin, Texas led by industry veterans from BioWare and other AAA studios. Archetype is a division of Wizards of the Coast (Hasbro). We are building a development team with world-class talent to create a new science fiction universe for our first multiplatform roleplaying video game.

Our goal is to create the greatest story-driven roleplaying games in the world.

About the Internship Program:

Our program runs between June 9- August 22, 2025 .

We are seeking an I ntern - Sound Designer to join our team. The primary focus of this role is supporting the Audio Team on the incredible game audio, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the game's audio systems and audio project structures. Our ideal candidate is highly creative and technical, with an outstanding work ethic. Strong interpersonal skills and a positive outlook are a must. Applicants are required to submit an audio reel along with resume.

What You'll Do:
  • Learn and contribute to audio systems, scripting and pipelines
  • Develop your knowledge of game audio development
  • Facilitate the process of sound effect authoring and implementation
  • Participate in mixing and/or recording sessions

What You'll Bring:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited, degree-seeking program pursuing a major in audio engineering, computer science, or game design with at least one quarter or semester left after August 2025 .
  • Available to work full-time hours for 11 weeks.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
  • Outstanding auditory skills.
  • Passionate about game audio , demonstrating a deep enthusiasm for creating immersive sound experiences in gaming.
  • Demonstrated experience in audio editing , gained through academic coursework or personal projects, showcasing proficiency in industry-standard audio software.
  • Familiarity with game development , acquired through educational studies or personal projects, highlighting an understanding of the game design process and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with UE and Wwise
  • Outstanding Time Management & Interpersonal skills

Compensation Range, Currency USD:
  • Starting Pay Range: $29/hr.
  • Pay Range End: $33/hr.
