As a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to help save lives by assisting in the inspection of fire alarm equipment. The role involves conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines. Responsibilities include inspecting and testing fire alarm systems and associated devices to ensure they are fully functional and operational, completing inspection reports and documents with proper coding, following a structured inspection schedule, inputting and archiving inspection documents via laptop, completing assigned inspections on time, and performing duties with safety as a priority. The position requires a high level of customer service, ability to work well with others, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required along with basic computer skills and the ability to perform physical labor including carrying equipment up to 30 lbs and climbing ladders or working with scaffolding up to 40 feet. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background and drug test are also required. Preferred qualifications include experience reading blueprints and operational manuals, experience with hand tools and barcode scanners, and the ability to obtain NICET Level II certification with company support.
